During a time like this, Melina couldn’t be bothered to consider what Andrew would think. The moment she placed her hand against her forehead, she felt as though
she’d been scalded.
If things continued like this, she was afraid the fever might leave some kind of permanent brain damage.
“Drive a little faster, Jason,” Melina urged.
Jason glanced through the rearview mirror and asked in puzzlement, “Is Mr. Wentworth sick?”
Had it been anyone else who was familiar with Andrew’s personality, they would never have mentioned him being sick even if they deduced it, but Jason was a rather simple–minded and straightforward person.
Melina could see why Jason didn’t want to work with Andrew–he had a high chance of getting beaten up if he did.
Since Andrew didn’t seem angered right now, Melina replied, “Yeah, he has a fever. Please drive faster.”
Jason slammed on the accelerator, and the car sped up at once.
Melina kept checking Andrew’s forehead from time to time. While she knew it wouldn’t help in any way, she just couldn’t resist doing it. It seemed like his fever was running so high that he didn’t even have the energy to protest, for he didn’t stop her from feeling his forehead.
In reality, Andrew was wondering if this was a sign of her concern for him. She wasn’t a good actress, so her actions proved that she genuinely cared about him…. but why? They often got into disagreements whenever they met. Why would she still care about him?
No one knew that the mysterious and unreadable Andrew was preoccupied with such a simple matter. Who would’ve thought that the cold and heartless demon. would feel a stir in his heart because someone had shown him a bit of concern?
However, the crux of it was that he was certain her concern didn’t stem from any kind of desire–she didn’t want anything in return.

Never would he have thought that he would allow a harmless deer to enter. She was noisy, but… she didn’t seem all that troublesome.
Andrew stared at Melisa. Dazed by the fever, he unconsciously drew nearer to her. He felt sleepy and safe at the same time.
Melina didn’t notice what he was doing. She was busy fretting due to the slight traffic jam up ahead. When she looked up at Andrew, he happened to tilt his down as well, closing the distance between them.
Just like that, they ended up kissing. A pair of cool lips brushed against a burning pair.
Melina froze solid as she blinked in shock. Andrew’s eyes seemed to turn even more bloodshot.
Jason, who was driving, spotted this scene through the rearview mirror, and his foot nearly slid off the accelerator.
Why were they kissing at a time like this?
In a shaky voice, he yelped, “What are you doing, Mrs. Wentworth? Are you trying to see what it’s like to kiss Mr. Wentworth when he’s running a fever?”
Melina swiftly backed away. She felt like her brain had exploded. Everything was a mess. What just happened?
She… kissed Andrew.
She couldn’t believe that she, who’d never even held a man’s hand before, had just
kissed Andrew.
Turning bright red, “Hey, you… I… we…”
In her panic, she stammered, not knowing what to say.
“It was just an accident,” Andrew said curtly before glaring at Jason.
Jason shivered as he mumbled to himself, “Uncle Bernard said to focus on my job. and not speak unless absolutely necessary. Yeah, that’s right. I didn’t see anything…”
Melina looked at Andrew, who had a neutral expression. It looked like he didn’t care about what happened earlier–as though it had merely been an accident. Thus, she slowly regained her composure as well.
