There was a funeral home in the town, and the people inside were responsible for collecting corpses after death.
However, the grave site needed to be chosen by oneself.
On the first day I came back, I went to find a grave site.
That piece of land was right next to my parents.
But when I woke up,
the cemetery manager suddenly called me.
He said, “Ms. Hill, there’s something wrong with the grave you booked.
The graveyard has been designated as the construction site for the amusement park, and we need to relocate the graves. We’ve found out that your family members‘ graves are also here. Do you have time to come over?”

I was stunned when I heard this.
I chose this place originally because of its good location.
It was also closer to my parents‘.
I spent a lot of money to buy it.
“Why should I suddenly need to relocate the graves?”
The management staff wouldn’t make such jokes with me over the phone.
After thinking about it, I decided to go and see for myself.
But when I arrived at the cemetery, I was dumbfounded.

I choked and nodded.
Seeing me, Matt frowned. “Vanessa, what are you doing here?”
“I’m not making trouble. I just…”
I was not sure if I should explain the situation to him.
I hesitated.
If he knew I was dying, would he be happy?
Matt interrupted me impatiently and said, “Stop messing around. I will find a new place for your parents‘ graves. As for the one you bought, just return it.”
His words carried an attitude that brooked no interference. This was not a discussion with me at all.

I didn’t know how I offended him, but his face turned ugly.
“Vanessa! You…”
He didn’t finish his sentence.
I suddenly started coughing and quickly covered my mouth with a scarf.
However, some blood stains still seeped through the scarf, staining it crimson.
Suddenly, darkness enveloped my vision, and my consciousness became muddled.
When I fell down,
I seemed to see the worry in Matt’s eyes.
He quickly ran towards me,
holding my hand, trembling.
He anxiously called my name.
