Luna Vengeance by Shevaux Vlada Chapter 20

Chapter 20

“Just leave it, Killian.”

I pushed away from the desk, the heavy weight of my frustration pressing against my ribs. My patience with him was wearing thin. “I accepted your proposal. I agreed to be your Luna. And yet, you still treat me like shit.”

Killian looked up from his paperwork, amusement flickering in his dark eyes. Then, to my absolute irritation, he laughed.

“Oh, come on, Aurora. Don’t be a brat.”

I froze. “What did you just call me?”

He smirked. “A brat.” He leaned back in his chair, his sharp, calculating gaze locked onto mine. “We both know why you’re here. You don’t care about this pack, about me. You’re here because you want revenge on Tyler.”

I crossed my arms. “And?”

“And,” he said smoothly, “I’m offering to help you.”

That made me pause. My eyes narrowed. “What’s the catch?”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “You shouldn’t even be asking that, since you’re already mine.”

I scoffed. “I’m your Luna, Killian. That’s the catch.”

He grinned, standing up from his chair, moving toward me with slow, measured steps. “No,” he said, voice almost teasing. “I want you to give me a child.”

My entire body stiffened.

I blinked at him, my brain struggling to catch up. “I’m sorry… come again?”

Killian’s smirk never wavered. “You heard me, love.”

I stared at him, waiting for him to tell me he was joking. That this was another one of his games, another way to get under my skin. But no—he simply turned back to his desk, flipping through documents like he hadn’t just dropped a bomb on me.

The room felt too small. Too suffocating.

Without another word, I turned on my heel and stormed out.

I needed air. I needed out.

The cool night breeze whipped against my face as my horse galloped through the darkened forest. The rhythmic pounding of hooves against the dirt road should have been calming, but my mind refused to quiet.

A child?

Killian wanted an heir?

Of course he did. He was an Alpha, and every Alpha needed an heir. I should have seen it coming. But the fact that he just casually threw it at me like a business transaction made my stomach twist.

I wasn’t going to be some broodmare for his legacy. I wasn’t going to be trapped.

My grip tightened on the reins as I urged the horse forward, weaving through the dense trees. The moon above cast a silver glow through the branches, illuminating the winding path ahead.

Then—movement.

My eyes caught the faintest flicker of a figure in the distance.

I slowed my horse, my pulse quickening.

At first, I thought it was a rogue, maybe a scout from another pack. But then the figure shifted, stepping into a small clearing where the moonlight touched her face.

Amaya. I stiffened.

She hadn’t seen me yet. She was focused on something—or rather, someone.

I kept my horse silent, moving carefully through the trees, my heart thundering.

What the hell was Amaya doing out here? The Shadow Fang territory ended just a mile back. She wasn’t just in the woods—she was on another pack’s land. My stomach twisted.

Then I saw him.

A man stood beside her, his presence oddly familiar. His movements were gentle, careful, as he reached for her hand.

Then he helped her off the horse… and kissed her. I felt the air leave my lungs.

No.

The world tilted beneath me as I finally saw his face.

The man kissing my best friend—was my father
