Luna Vengeance by Shevaux Vlada Chapter 37

Chapter 37

The moment I stepped into the room and saw Alpha Vincenzio sitting there, my heart leaped into my throat.

I wasn’t sure what I had expected—maybe a conversation with Killian about the new guards, maybe more secrets being thrown at me like daggers. But not this. Not him. Not the man I had just found out was my real father. And definitely not him calling me daughter.

Killian sat behind his desk, his expression completely unreadable, watching us like a silent observer. I tried to steady my breathing, but my hands clenched into fists as I forced myself to step forward.

“Hello, Alpha Vinzenzio,” I said, my voice tense. “What did you summon me?”

Alpha Vincenzio tilted his head slightly, his piercing gaze studying me.

Then, in a calm, commanding voice, he said, “Sit down, Aurora. We need to talk.”

I hesitated, but eventually, I lowered myself into the chair across from him. I was still nervous. Because this man—this powerful Alpha—was actually my father. And all these years, I had never known.

I forced myself to look at him, searching for something—a connection, a resemblance, anything that made this feel real.

“I know you have questions,” Alpha Vincenzio started, his deep voice carrying a weight that made my chest tighten.

“Questions?” I let out a chuckle. “You think?”

His lips curled into a smirk. “I would be disappointed if you didn’t.”

Killian leaned back in his chair, watching us like we were pieces on a chessboard. He didn’t interrupt.

Alpha Vincenzio folded his hands in front of him. “Let’s start with the most important thing, Aurora. I’m sure you know this by now, as I’ve heard you went to your mother for answers. But I want you to hear it from me, you are the heir to the Blood Moon Pack.”

I couldn’t believe I’m hearing this. “But the Blood Moon Pack…they’re gone.”

Alpha Vincenzio’s smirk widened slightly. “The Blood Moon Pack is the most ancient, most powerful pack in history. The pack that ruled over all others before the High Council even existed.”

I frowned, trying to wrap my head around what he was saying. “That doesn’t make sense. If the Blood Moon Pack was so powerful, why don’t they rule anymore?”

His smirk faded. “Because they were betrayed.”

I stilled. “Betrayed?”

He nodded. “Many years ago, the Blood Moon Pack was feared by all. We were stronger, smarter, and untouchable. But their power made them enemies. A group of Alphas—including members of the High Council—banded together and destroyed our pack.”

I swallowed. “I know that story…the whole pack was wiped out.”

Alpha Vincenzio’s golden eyes gleamed. “Not completely. Some of the bloodline survived. And those survivors scattered, blending into other packs, waiting for the right moment to rise again.”

Something cold ran down my spine. I had heard whispers of the Blood Moon Pack before. Stories of a pack so strong that even the Moon Goddess favored them.

But I never knew… I was one of them.

“And you?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. “You’re one of them?”

Alpha Vincenzio nodded. “Yes. I am the last true Alpha of the Blood Moon line. And you, Aurora—you are my only true heir

I sucked in a sharp breath, my heart pounding.

This changed everything. I wasn’t just a Luna. I wasn’t just some pawn in a political game. I was the rightful heir to something far greater than I ever imagined.

I gripped the arms of my chair, trying to keep my voice steady. “So what does that mean for me?”

Alpha Vincenzio leaned forward, his eyes deadly serious. “It means you are far more powerful than you realize. And it means your bloodline cannot die.”

I frowned. “What are you saying?” He exhaled, like he was bracing himself for my reaction.

“You and Killian need to produce an heir.”

The room went silent. I felt like all the air had been sucked out of my lungs.

Killian, who had been silent the whole time, finally let out a small chuckle. “You were asking why you’re summoned here, that’s the answer.”

I turned to him, my eyes narrowing. “This is all falling according to your plan, isn’t it?”

Killian shrugged, looking completely unfazed. “Of course. Your father and I have discussed it. You’re stubborn, Aurora. And I needed your real father’s help in convincing you to produce an heir with me. Not only did I save your mother when I made you a Luna. Now, you will be able to save and resurrect your whole pack too…if you bear my child.”

I rolled my eyes at him and snapped my gaze back to Alpha Vincenzio. “And if I choose not to bear an heir?”

Alpha Vincenzio’s expression hardened. “That will be catastrophic, Aurora. The Blood Moon Pack cannot end with you. If you do not pass down your bloodline, then the line dies, and everything we have fought for will have been for nothing.”

I clenched my jaw. “So I’m supposed to just… have a child for the sake of continuing some ancient legacy?”

“Not just any child,” Alpha Vincenzio corrected. “A child born of two powerful bloodlines. You and Killian together create a bloodline that would be unstoppable.”

I turned to Killian, my stomach twisting. His golden eyes met mine, calm and unreadable. This was nothing to him. Nothing but a strategy. This wasn’t about love. It wasn’t about me. It was about the power he’d been longing for.

Alpha Vincenzio leaned back, exhaling. “I also know you want revenge for what Tyler and Debbie did to you.”

I stiffened. Of course he knew. Everyone knew. Alpha Vincenzio studied me carefully. “But you need to think. Do you want revenge at the cost of everything you are? Or do you want to get something bigger than that.?”

I didn’t answer. I couldn’t. Because I didn’t know the answer myself. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I let out a slow breath.

“What makes you think I’ll listen to you, father

“Because you’re my perfect daughter and you’ll listen to our plan.”
