Chapter 59
The room was suffocating, but I didn’t feel an ounce of panic.
If anything, I felt calm. Because I had won. Tyler stood at the doorway, his golden eyes burning with fury, his body tense as if he was ready to shift at any second.
His breath came in ragged, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white. And yet—I just smiled. We all did.
Killian leaned back against the chair, his arms casually folded, like he wasn’t sitting across from the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, the man he had once called a rival.
And Alpha Vincenzio?
He chuckled under his breath, shaking his head slightly, like he was amused. Like this was all a game.
Tyler’s rage crackled in the air like a brewing storm. “What the hell is going on here?” he demanded, his voice low, dangerous.
I tilted my head, mocking innocence dripping from my every movement.
“What do you mean, Tyler?”
His wolf stirred beneath his skin, his body vibrating with tension. He knew. He just didn’t want to believe it. I took a slow step forward, my heels clicking against the marble floor.
“You look stressed, Alpha,” I murmured, my voice sickly sweet. His eyes snapped to mine, glowing with barely controlled rage.
“Stop playing games, Aurora,” he snarled. “Why the hell are you in a room alone with them?” I exchanged a look with Killian and Alpha Vincenzio. And then, as if on cue, we all smirked.
Tyler’s breath hitched. Something shifted in his expression. I could see it in his eyes. The realization. The betrayal finally sinking in.
“No,” he breathed. “You wouldn’t—”
“Wouldn’t what?” I taunted, stepping even closer. “Betray you?”
His jaw clenched. “You’re my Luna.”
I laughed. A sharp, cruel sound.
“I was never truly yours, Tyler. Not after that night you humiliated and rejected me.
His entire body stiffened. The air grew colder. His hands shook with rage, his wolf barely contained beneath his skin.
“I publicly apologized for it.”
I laughed. “When I didn’t give a fuck about it anymore.”
“You were working against me?” he asked, his voice quiet, but deadly.
I smiled. “Oh, Tyler… you never saw it, did you?”
Killian chuckled darkly. “She played you like a fool.”
Tyler turned his gaze to him, his golden eyes flashing with violent intent. Vincenzio exhaled, almost bored. “This was inevitable.”
“You knew.” Tyler’s voice was rough, raw.
He turned to Alpha Vincenzio, his anger now burning towards him. “You’ve been planning this from the start. Aurora’s return, Debbie’s attack. It was all you.”
Alpha Vincenzio smirked. “Of course, I have. You were always too naive to rule. And she’s my daughter. My one and only heir. Of course I’ll put her first. She wanted her revenge, and let’s just say, I thought of a way to help her get in the most painful way.”
Tyler’s breathing turned ragged. His world was crumbling around him, and he knew it. I took another step, placing my hand gently on his chest. He flinched.
“I told you, Tyler,” I whispered. “I’m the villain in this story.”
His eyes searched mine, looking for something—anything to hold on to. But there was nothing left.
And then, as if remembering, his gaze dropped to my stomach. The child I carried. His child. His breath came out shaky. “What about the baby?”
For the first time, his voice wasn’t angry. It was pleading. Desperate. I let the silence stretch between us for a moment. Let him hope. And then, I shattered it.
I let out a soft, cruel laugh and placed a hand over my belly.
“Oh, Tyler… you still don’t get it, do you?”
I leaned in close, my lips brushing against his ear as I whispered—
“The baby isn’t yours.”
Tyler’s entire body went still. As if the world had just stopped turning. I pulled away, smirking. “I kind of had a second thought about it, but I remembered I was taking contraceptive herbs when I went back here. The baby is not yours, it’s Killian’s.”
A sharp inhale. A flicker of pure agony in his expression. Everything exploded. The room shook as Tyler roared, his eyes flashing red with rage. His wolf was seconds from surfacing, his entire body trembling with fury and betrayal.
“You LIED
His voice was so loud, the entire party must have heard it. Killian stepped forward, smirking. “She chose me, Tyler. Get over it.”
Tyler’s snarl ripped through the air, primal and violent. I took a step back, watching the madness unfold.
Because I had done it. I had broken him. Tyler lifted his head, his breathing ragged, his entire body vibrating with power. And when he spoke, his voice was like thunder shaking the earth.
“You want war?” His golden eyes blazed with pure fury as they locked onto mine.
“Then forget about the treaty. The war is what you’ll get.”
