Brian thought Ariana was hinting at something. He said, “We’re engaged. It’s perfectly normal for us to share a room. My bed is big enough for three, so if you want…”
“Mr. Lodge, if you’re trying to take responsibility for what Happened earlier, there’s really no need. I understand you acted on impulse because you were angry. It was just a kiss. I don’t care at all.”
Hearing Ariana’s words, Brian thought he must have misheard. “You… You said you don’t care at all?”
“Of course. It’s the 21st century. A kiss isn’t a big deal. I’m not going to lose sleep over it.”
Brian was momentarily speechless. Ariana’s words made him so angry that he just laughed.
So, he was the only one who still cared about it?
“You’re right. I thought you cared about your chastity more than anything. Looks like I was wrong. Forget what I said before.”
Brian felt something tighten in his chest. He went upstairs, then stopped halfway, remembering he had come back specifically to talk about their relationship. So, he turned around and came back down.

“Ariana, don’t forget that you and I are engaged. You’re my future wife. Don’t think you can run from me. Even if you try, I’ll drag you right back!”
With that, he stormed out of the Lodge residence.
Ariana watched him leave, frowning.
What was his problem?
“Ms. Torrey,” Emily said, coming downstairs. “Your new room is all set, but we’ll have to inconvenience you by having you stay in your old one just for tonight. The remodeling crew won’t arrive until later.”
Seeing how angry Brian was, Emily felt uneasy.
Ariana was getting bolder. If she really did become Brian’s wife, who knew how she might handle Brian in the future?
“That’s not necessary. Just swap out the furniture. No need to renovate.“.
With that, Ariana walked upstairs. She wasn’t willing to spend another minute in the room next to Brian’s, let alone an entire night.
“Understood, Ms. Torrey.”
By evening, Evelyn arrived at Lodge Co., intending to pick Brian up from work As soon as she reached his floor, she overheard two assistants whispering,
“Seriously? They actually kissed?”
“I swear I saw Mr. Lodge kiss Ms. Torrey! Ms. Weston spent the whole afternoon ordering furniture and calling a remodeling team. Obviously, they’ve moved in together!”
“Oh my gosh, what about Ms. Granger? Isn’t she the one Mr Lodge likes the most?”
Their entire conversation reached Evelyn’s ears without missing a word.
