“You little witch! Get out here!”
Chloe stormed down the hallway, cursing under her breath as she reached Fiona’s door.
Hearing the commotion, Fiona’s face paled the moment she saw the furious woman outside her room. “Mrs. Knox, you can’t just barge into my room! You… Ah!”
Before Fiona could finish her sentence, Chloe slapped her across the face.
“How dare you hit me?”
Fiona’s expression darkened. Ever since she had started gaining favor at school, she had been basking in the admiration of her classmates. This was the first time she had ever been slapped, and she was beyond furious.

The accusation made Fiona’s expression shift. She clenched her fists and snapped, “Who can prove it was me? You have no right to pin this on me!”

The landlady was known for her sharp tongue and fiery temper.
Fiona shot up from her seat, glaring at the older woman. “Hah! As if I’d ever want to stay in this rundown dump! Let me tell you something you’ll regret crossing me more than you regret offending Ariana!”
Truthfully, Fiona had already planned on leaving. The only reason she had come back was to pack her things.
Belinda had personally told her to move into the Lodge estate. She had been given a few days to gather her belongings before officially settling in

Soon, Fiona had all of her belongings loaded up and dragged them downstairs. But when she reached the entrance of the complex, she hesitated.

“To move in?”
The housekeeper sounded confused. She hadn’t received any notice that Fiona was moving over.
“I haven’t received any orders about you moving in, Ms. Piper.”
“That’s impossible! Mrs. Lodge Senior told me herself! Just two nights ago, she said I should pack up and prepare to move in!”
