“Get out!”
The woman erupted in rage, screaming and swinging wildly at Gwen.
Gwen’s face was already covered in scratches, her agonized screams echoing through the conference room.
Ariana stood back, watching the chaos unfold with a sinug sense of satisfaction.
Meanwhile, the crisis at Torrey Co. had been resolved, and word of Ariana’s appointment as the new head of the Torrey family soon reached Brian’s cars.
Brian, already nursing a headache from the day’s events, furrowed his brow even deeper at the news.
“Torrey Co.’s crisis has been resolved? How?”
“I’m not sure. But I heard it was Ms. Torrey who turned things around.”
“Ariana?”
The mention of Ariana saving Torrey Co. sparked a dangerous glint in Brian’s eyes.
Noticing his reaction, Emily couldn’t help but say, “Mr. Lodge, perhaps you should visit Torrey Co. and see for yourself.”
Brian let out a bitter chuckle. “Well played, Ariana. Yesterday, she put on a whole act and drove Eve away right in front of me. She must have struck some kind of deal with Grandma. And I was foolish enough to think she was innocent.”
Brian sneered, realizing he had greatly underestimated Ariana.
Who would have thought Ariana would go to such lengths to resolve Torrey Co.’s crisis?
With that thought, Brian issued a sharp order. “Find out where Ariana got the two billion.”
“Yes, Mr. Lodge.”
Brian stood up abruptly. Noticing this, Emily asked, “Mr. Lodge, where are you going?”
“To the Torrey residence,” Brian replied coldly. “I want to see how Ariana explains herself when confronted with the evidence!”
Half an hour later, Ariana had returned to the Torrey residence.
Gwen stormed after her, shouting furiously, “Ariana! You’ve got some nerve! How could you do this to me?”
She tried to hit Ariana, but Ariana was too quick. Every time Gwen lunged, her strikes missed their mark.
Ariana sat on the living room sofa, her expression calm as she looked at Gwen, who appeared
disheveled. “Ms. Lambert, I’ve already shown you the respect you deserve. What more do you want from me?”
How dare you say that!”
Gwen’s face twisted with fury as she pointed an accusatory finger at Ariana.
If it weren’t for you, John’s wife wouldn’t have stormed into the office to attack me! Now everyone at work is mocking me! And to make it worse, you used the surveillance footage as evidence against me with the higher–ups. How could you be so cruel and heartless?”

Gwen was acting like a shrew, snapping at anyone who crossed her path.
Ariana responded with a calm indifference, “If you don’t want others to find out, maybe you shouldn’t have done It. Everyone in the company knows about your little affair. It’s your own fault that she came to confront you.” Seeing Arlana’s unbothered attitude, Gwen raised her hand to slap her.
But before her hand could make contact, a large hand gripped her wrist from behind.
“Who is it?” Gwen asked, turning around, only to find it was Brian.
“Mr. Lodge…” Gwen was taken aback.
Why was Brian here?
Brian’s expression darkened, his eyes were cold and piercing. “Get out.”
The single command sent a tremor through Gwen, and she quickly ran upstairs. “I’m going! I’m going now!” she stammered.
Ariana, seemingly unfazed by Brian’s presence, poured herself a cup of tea and calmly asked, “Mr. Lodge, is there something you need?”
