Just as Stephen’s hand was about to strike Jasmin, he forcefully stopped himself. After all, she was the sister he had cared for all these years, and he simply couldn’t bring himself to do it.
But Jasmin didn’t hold back. She pointed a finger at Stephen and screamed,
“Stephen, how dare you hit me? Fine, I’ll tell Dad!”
Without hesitation, Jasmin immediately called Christopher.
This time, it was Christopher himself who picked up the phone.

uncontrollably. “Dad, you have no idea, Stephen almost killed me just now.”
“I was just so happy that Gideon accepted me as an apprentice. I just wanted to celebrate with my friends, and this is how he treats me! I felt so wrong.”
Christopher’s anger only grew as he listened, and he kicked Stephen hard in the chest.

Stephen subconsciously covered his face, but his hand felt damp, as if his own grief was leaking through his skin.
For some reason, he suddenly felt an overwhelming need to know what Sheena had wanted to say all those years ago, but never had the chance. Without hesitation, he dialed Sheena’s number.
However, only a beeping sounded rang. The phone went unanswered.
Unwilling to accept this, Stephen tried calling five or six more times, but the response was always the same.
It had been five days already–if the Wilson family had intended to punish her, they must have already done so. Why wouldn’t Sheena answer his calls?
Just as he was about to leave the hospital to find her, he bumped into Travis.
Travis was gripping a piece of paper tightly, his face a mixture of anger and despair.

Upon seeing Stephen, Travis rushed forward, grabbing his collar.
“Where is Sheena?” he anxiously asked.
At that moment, Jasmin ran in from outside, panting as she caught up. “Travis, this letter of cancellation was something Sheena asked me to give you before she left, along with this necklace-”
Jasmin took the necklace from her pocket and handed it to Travis. “Sheena said she doesn’t like you anymore and wants to break off the engagement. So, she doesn’t want this token of love anymore.
