After leaving the gathering, I packed my things and went to another house I had bought with my own money.

The next morning, I went straight to a print shop and printed out a divorce agreement.
When I returned home with the printed divorce agreement, I was surprised to find Jack standing at the door, with a complex expression on his face.
“Emily, let’s talk, his voice carried a hint of barely noticeable pleading.
I stopped in my tracks and looked at him coldly, “What is there to talk about? You should have heard everything clearly last night.”
“Emily, I admit they went too far last night, but you shouldn’t have treated my friends that way, especially Sophia.”
His tone carried a hint of reproach.
“Friends? Huh, you know best what kind of ‘friendship‘ you have with them,” I said sarcastically, handing him the divorce agreement, “This is the divorce agreement, sign it.”
He took the agreement, his gaze lingering on it for a moment, then looked up at me, “Can we go inside and talk? Perhaps we can find a better
solution.”
I hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded.
After all, some things needed to be said face to face.
After entering the house, I had just turned around to sit down when Jack suddenly hugged me tightly from behind.
His strength was so great that I could hardly breathe. In my ear was his voice of apology and promise: “Emily, I was wrong, I was really wrong. I will never make such a mistake again. Let’s start over, I will treat you twice as well, we will have children…”
I struggled free from his embrace.
“Don’t touch me! You disgust me! Your apologies and promises mean nothing to me anymore.”
I shouted, my eyes full of disgust.
He stumbled back a few steps from my push, hitting the wall, a flash of anger in his eyes.
However, before I could react, a sudden wave of dizziness swept over me.
