James had no idea what I had done, and to my surprise, he was even worried about dragging me down with him. The same night, he was taken to the police station, where he signed the divorce papers. Not only did he agree to all the terms, but he also willingly chose to leave the marriage with nothing, transferring the house to me.
He sent me a message, telling me not to worry about him and promising that he would handle everything.

The same night, an online video showed a couple jumping onto the train tracks. The deceased were identified as James and Lindsay. I turned off my phone, rubbed my tired temples, and returned to work. They had finally disappeared from my life completely.
