Howard lost control of his temper when he read it and made his retort immediately.
He typed furiously: [Kiss my ass, you motherfucking coward, how dare you suggest my goddess to call you Handsome? It’d be more accurate to call you ugly dumbasses!]
Team Blood Wolf replied: [You wouldn’t? That’s unfortunate. Prepare to be thrashed and humiliated, then!]
Samantha suddenly typed on the screen: [Hee–hee.]
Before anyone could react to her taunt, all players were required to select the characters they wanted to play as.
Since Samantha’s team had no tacit understanding or chemistry, all five chose the characters they specialized in without hesitation. This resulted in an awkward group combination.
The characters in each position could be said to be their categories‘ strongest in the game version. However, as a team, they would not have collective damage power, as those characters were more suitable for one–man shows.
When Team Blood Wolf realized what characters Team Gorgeous had chosen, they scoffed dismissively.
One of them commented: [Choosing characters to form a workable team is the most basic knowledge of this game, and you don’t even know how to do it. Why don’t you go home and start from scratch?
That was quickly followed by his teammate: [Haha! This is a team game, and all of you chose solo–carry characters. Are you trying to be funny?]
Samantha naturally saw how Team Blood Wolf insulted her team. Without pause, she informed her teammates via the headset, “Ignore what they say. Just choose your best character and do your best.”
Howard replied, “Yep, Goddess! Howie got you!”

Darwin was too exasperated to say anything.
The same applied to Lawrence. He thought, “Is this really going to work?”
Soon, the competition began.
Darwin played very well at the top lane. He was a consistent player who always ensured his character to level up steadily. He didn’t challenge his opponents unnecessarily.
However, the unreliable Howard and Lawrence, who played at the bottom lane, were miserable.
It was common knowledge that the Attack Damage Carry, usually referred to as the ADC, was the core of a team, and the bottom lane was the most crucial region in the game.
If a team’s ADC, had the chance to level up nicely at the bottom lane, they could carry his teammates for the entire match. However, Howard and Lawrence at the bottom lane were incredibly reckless.
They were impulsive, but they lacked the capabilities to back their thoughtless play.
After their characters died in the first wave, the duo were trounced mercilessly by Team Blood Wolf.
Their characters had been killed ten times in total. Moreover, their opponents had destroyed a crystal turret in the bottom lane.
It was not surprising that Lawrence was crestfallen.
“Looks like we’re really going out in the first round…” he lamented.
Meanwhile, Howard almost burst out in tears. With a crying voice, he said, “Goddess, Howie’s really sorry about this…
A smile played on Samantha’s lips as she said, “Don’t worry. I’ll carry you guys.”
“Leila, pretend you’re going for an ambush and hide in the bushes, she ordered.
“Sure.”
Leila was a taciturn girl. However, she seemed to obey Samantha’s every order without objection, regardless of what the latter said.
Indeed, Leila controlled her character to hide in the bushes.
Unfortunately, their opponents noticed her movement.

“You level up too slowly and that’s why I conceded the two kills to you.” Samantha’s tone remained casual.
Howard shut up immediately when he heard that.
