Chapter 19
A black car arrived before Samantha as she walked out of the school’s entrance.
The window of the driver’s side rolled down, revealing an innocent–looking man in the driver’s seat. Simon smiled at her. “Hello, gorgeous! Do you want to get into the car and join me for some funnies?
Samantha grinned.
She thought. “Heh! I’m so charming that someone even tried to chat me up on the side of the road.”
“Hey, handsome, what kind of fun do you have in mind?” Samaraha flicked her hair charmingly and seductively.
Simon gulped and suddenly felt that the pressure in the car had dropped sharply.
He said stitily. “Well, I’ll do whatever you have in mind.”
“Hah!” Samantha sneered as her expression dropped. Without hiding the contempt and disdain in her eyes, she stated, “Then, please go somewhere far away from me to have fun! How dare you think of taking advantage of me with your ugly face? Did you look into the mirror?”
With that, Samantha shoved her black backpack to the back and strolled away coolly.
Meanwhile, Simon’s face turned red from embarrassment when he heard a soft chuckle from the back seat.
He turned around to see Francis staring at him with a half–smile evident with scorn. He cursed, “Fuck! How are you still laughing at me?”
Francis glanced at him. “Oh, Mr. Yates. You’ve always been pretty popular around women, huh? This is your first time being belittled by a woman, so it’s quite funny!”
“Fucking hell!” Simon slammed the steering wheels furiously. However, he grinned when he thought about something.
“Francis, didn’t that woman try to seduce you last time? Why don’t you give it a go?”
Francis‘ eyes flickered. The memory of Samantha approaching him to light her own cigarette that day at the kindergarten. appeared in his mind. Samantha was so near to him that he could spot the tiny hairs on her skin.
His eyes sparkled as another thought flashed across his mind. He subconsciously rubbed the scar on his left index finger, his voice turning frosty, “Let’s head back to the Gurray residence.”
Simon noticed Francis‘ downcast mood. He turned on the engine while mumbling. “He dislikes being around women! It’s been so many years, and other than that incident, he has never had sex before. Oh my. He isn’t even interested in this beauty. Is he sick or something?”
Francis was rendered speechless by his words.
Meanwhile, in a corner, a tall and handsome man in a black suit stared at Samantha’s retreating figure with a wicked smirk. “She knows how to beat people up and scold someone. Interesting!”
“Boss, do you want me to check on her information?” A sidekick asked.
The man’s eyes darkened. “Go ahead”
Samantha wandered around alone, buying food and other items. She shopped until Ryland’s school time was over before she went to the gate of Sovereign Kindergarten to wait for the latter before returning to the Johansson residence together in
a taxi.

Once again, the Johansson family’s driver was forgotten.
“Mommy, why did you come and pick me up today? Hyland asked softly while hugging Samantha’s arm excitedly when he got into the car.
Samantha glanced at him. “Don’t be too happy about this. I just happened to pass by this place.”
“Heh!” Ryland smiled unabashedly. He held Samantha’s hand while rubbing his face on it. “Tm still happy, though, so it doesn’t matter whether you show up deliberately or just happen to pass by.”
After saying that, Ryland curiously went through Samantha’s shopping bags. “By the way, Mommy, what did you purchase!”
“All you have to know is that I didn’t buy anything for you,” Santha deliberately tried to piss Ryland off while having a lollipop in her mouth.
Ryland was not angered by her words, though. He acted sternly like an art, saying, “Mommy, you should consume less sweets! It’s not good for your teeth and causes you to gain weight
Samantha peered at him. “Are my teeth ugly, or am I too fat?”
Ryland trembled when he saw Samantha’s terrifying gaze. He hurriedly added, “No. You’re so beautiful. Mommy has beautiful teeth and a great figure. You look good from top to toe. You’re the best–looking person in the world.”
“That’s more like it.”
After leaving the car, Ryland went upstairs to Samantha’s room with several bags in his hands, even though none of the -items belonged to him.
Then, Ryland placed these bags in Samantha’s room dutifully. That was when he recalled something.
“By the way. Mommy, you will accompany me to my kindergarten’s family event tomorrow, right?” Ryland’s eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Samantha caressed Ryland’s nose. “Of course. I’ve already bought us twinning outfits, so why would I miss the event tomorrow?”
“Oh! Really?” Ryland suddenly got excited. He mused, “Mommy lied to me just now when she said she didn’t buy anything for me. In the end, she bought twinning outfits for us! Oh my gosh! Why do I have the world’s best mom?”
Moved by Samantha’s gestures, Ryland plopped into Samantha’s embrace while promising internally that he would be more respectful to her in the future.
After dinner, Ryland returned to his room for revision while Samantha played games inside her room.
Suddenly, the door was pushed open, and Xavion plopped a pile of documents onto Samantha’s study table. “Samantha! Look! These are all the materials I’ve prepared for you!”
Xavion looked at Samantha with an expression that indicated he was trying to claim credit from her.
Samantha’s mouth twitched as she looked at piles of paper that filled the desk before her. There were test papers like The Princeton Review, Barron’s SAT, and others.
Samantha looked at Xavion like he was a fool. “Are you crazy?”
Xavion immediately pouted his lips when he didn’t get the praise he expected from Samantha. “I did this so that you can get into university! It’s not easy, okay! I went out all day to get these papers ready and bought every test paper I could find. I made so much effort to do this for you. Yet, you’re calling me crazy now?”
The more Xavion said, the more aggrieved he became. He snatched Samantha’s phone away before placing a math test

paper before her
He stated, “You’re going to sit for SAT in three months! Why are you still playing games on your phone? Do the paper now. I’ll come and check on them in two hours.”
After saying that, Xavion left fiercely with Samantha’s phone in his hands. He thought, “Why does her phone feel so heavy?”
Samantha stared at Xavion’s back speechlessly. She mused, “He has really gone crazy. Oh well. I’ll do as he s his reputation.”
says just to save
Samantha did the test paper seriously.
Two hours later, Xavion came to collect the test paper. Then he noticed Samantha sprawled on the table, fast asleep, while there was a pig drawing on the Uprian test paper underneath her arms. She even wrote Xavion’s name on the pig’s brain.
Xavion was speechless. He wondered, “Just how much does she hate me todo this?”
Xavion took the math test paper beside Samantha and the suggested answers. Then, he grabbed a red pen, wanting to mark Samantha’s test paper with a sense of ceremony.
However, he was surprised to see that Samantha’s answers were all the same as the suggested answers. Xavion couldn’t help but wonder whether Samantha copied all these answers while he was away.
Xavion fumed inwardly. “What kind of attitude is that? Does she still want to enroll in a university?”
Initially, Xavion wanted to slap the test paper directly on Samantha’s forehead to wake her.
But then, when he saw Samantha’s peaceful slumber, he changed his mind. Xavion decided to let her off the hook this time around. He thought, I’m going to give her a day of rest. The hard work starts tomorrow!”
The following day, Ryland was excited as he got up, freshened, and had breakfast.
Today, the mother–and–son–duo wore a blue–black twinning outfit. The top was a blue hoodie, and the pants were black sweatpants paired with white shoes that shouted youthful enthusiasm.
Samantha tied up her hair for convenience because she would participate in today’s activities. With a high ponytail and light makeup, she didn’t look like a mom to a five–year–old child. Instead, she looked like an average young woman.
After breakfast, the driver sent them to Sovereign Kindergarten,
The kindergarten was very lively today. One could even say that the situation at the kindergarten was a battle of visuals.
