People said I was horribly ruthless. But they didn’t know that if I hadn’t been ruthless, I would have been dead when I was nine years old in that confrontation over a chicken leg.

And recently, he took on a business deal where he pretended to be a kidnapper for a wealthy lady.
It was said that this wealthy lady seduced her sister’s fiancé and got pregnant, but that man refused to make it public. She thought about it and came up with the idea of asking someone to fake a kidnap to test the man’s heart.
I looked at the employer’s name and raised my eyebrows.
It was fun. That was my dad’s daughter.

I took an imitation gun and went.
After all, for a group of people who had never been on the battlefield, an imitation gun was more than enough.
I looked coldly at the two delicate girls of the Mitchell family and the flirtatious man in the middle.
That was ridiculous.
While they were playing such a boring game, I was in a bloody fight.
The huge difference in our destiny was all due to their ungrateful father.
I didn’t have any good feelings towards them, especially that man. He was engaged to Glinda but slept with Tamia. To save

his unborn child, he pushed his fiancée to the gun.
It was just that Glinda, his fiancée, was a bit stupid.
Even now, she was still asking about whose child it was.

I laughed and couldn’t help but interrupt, “Even I can tell whose child it is.”
She froze there.
Her deep eyes glistened with tears, hesitant and painful.
As that man left with Tamia in his arms, her beautiful eyes instantly dimmed. The sun was setting then, and the sky was getting darker gradually. The light of the setting sun reflected in her eyes, full of despair.
At that moment, I heard my heart beat faster.
I assumed that I looked the same way when my dad died, and my mom left me without looking back.
Standing under the sunset alone and overwhelmed by despair, I bit my lip to prevent myself from trembling, just like she did
now.
I recalled the results of my investigation. Not two years after my dad defrauded my father of his patent, he found a mistress and had an illegitimate daughter.
After he became utterly successful, he brought his mistress and

illegitimate daughter home, which made his first wife angry, and then died.
And his wife’s daughter was left with no one to care for.
Looking at the girl in front of me, who was devoured by despair, I listened to my pounding heartbeat.
I decided to give her a choice.
She could choose to be numb, endure it all, and be an unlucky. person who was sacrificed by the Mitchell family.
Then, I would directly kill her.
She could also choose to turn against the Mitchell family and seek justice for herself and her mother.
Then, I didn’t mind teaching her determination, courage, and
perseverance.
I let her decide whether to live to seek revenge or to swallow her
anger.
She thought about it all night.
That night, I felt a rare sense of anxiety.
To be honest, I was afraid that she would choose the opposite of
- me.
As she came to me the next day, I didn’t even want her to tell me

the answer.
But thankfully, she chose to let those bad guys get what they deserved.
Thus, my plan changed.
I no longer intended to do it myself. I would let my dad’s daughter do it.
I would let his biological daughter send him to prison.
Then, I started training this honest and weak girl.
5/8
We start with her physique. If a person’s body were strong, her spirit would not be weak.
She seemed determined and accepted my training desperately.
In less than half a year, her fighting skills and tracking skills had reached the top level among ordinary people.
She could hunt without expression, kill her prey, and let the blood splatter on her face.
I had always believed that hatred could change a person more than love.
In my spare time, I often looked at her figure in a daze.
For a few moments, I suddenly didn’t want to return to Seth, even though that was where I started.
Chapter 12: Harold’s POV
For a few days, her smiling face appeared repeatedly in my dreams, where she wore the bride’s white wedding dress.
Upon waking up, I heard a voice in my mind saying, “Harold, you are doomed. You fall for her.”

But there was another voice saying, “Harold, you are just a mercenary who grew up on the streets. How can you be worthy of such a beauty as her?”
I was torn between the two voices every day, so anxious that I even started to avoid her. But I found that I couldn’t.
Just as I heard her crying in her dream, I jumped up, rushed over, and held her in my arms, feeling distressed.
I couldn’t imagine what my girl had been through.
She woke up in my arms, staring straight at me with her wet eyes, full of trust and unspeakable throbbing.
Her eyes hit me straight to the heart.
I couldn’t tell who took the initiative, but we kissed each other simultaneously.
After that day, I had a family and someone who loved me.

I started to think about how I could stay in the sun with my girl.
Chapter 12: Harold’s POV
I ended my business in Seth and transferred a relatively large sum of savings back. Then, I reported myself.
I didn’t hurt anyone, and the ransom was returned to Leland. And Glinda insisted that this was just a prank planned by her and me.

The lawyer I hired was brilliant, and my final sentence was one
year.
A year later, I could stand in the sun and be with my girl for the rest of my life.
And this year, I let her take revenge on her own.
Even so, I sent two men to protect her in the dark. But what made me proud was that she didn’t use my people during the
process.
Relying on herself, she had her revenge.
One year passed soon. On the day I was released from prison, Glinda stood at the prison gate, waiting for me.
She wore a long sky–blue dress with no makeup and her hair hung down.
saf
There was a fleshy baby in her arms, looking at me with big eyes.
Seeing me coming out, Glinda handed the baby to me. “Your daughter.”
Chapfer 12: Harold’s POV
It was hard for me to describe how I felt at that time.
8/8
Although I was only in my twenties, I had experienced more than ten years of bloodshed, treating every day as my last, not daring to expect to have a family.
I didn’t even dare to think of my deceased family for fear that tears would blur my eyes, causing me unable to see clearly the hail of bullets ahead.
But that day, all I could see was the blue sky, white clouds, and the bright sun. The girl I loved held our daughter in her arms and smiled at me peacefully as if the hardships we both suffered before were just a nightmare.
Now that we woke up from the nightmare, there would be only peace and love for the rest of our lives.
I never shed tears but blood.
But at that moment, my tears fell on my daughter’s face.
I held Glinda with one hand and my daughter in the other and walked towards the sunshine that belonged to us.
After so many hardships, fate finally gave me a piece of candy.
