Chapter 7
During those two months, he had been on a business trip with his secretary by the sea. They had been experimenting with different positions and settings, fantasizing about what their child would look like after being born.
They didn’t expect that while indulging in their passion, I had created a new life with my boyfriend.
When Sean realized this, his face completely changed. “You… you…
you’re putting a green hat on me?” he exclaimed, losing all reason in his fury as he grabbed my neck tightly. “Who is the bastard?”
Before he could do anything else, a punch
landed on his back.
Grayson rushed in, nervously holding me.
“Michelle, are you alright?”
Sean, stunned by the punch, turned around

carrying someone else’s child, what does it have to do with you?” I leaned in slightly, making sure Sean knew I wasn’t done. “Mr. Morris, do try to show some respect.”
Sean’s anger was at the boiling point. He punched the wall with such force that his fist hitting the plaster echoed through the room. Then, in a last–ditch effort to regain control, he softened his tone, trying to placate me.
“Michelle, what are you saying?” he asked, his voice gentler, though there was still a nervous edge. “Are you really just mad because I’ve been away on this business trip for so long?” He took a step closer, almost pleading. “We agreed, no matter how much we fight, we can‘ t mention divorce, right?”
I raised an eyebrow at him. “Why would we divorce? When did we ever divorce?”
And just like that, I pulled out the
electronic copy of the divorce agreement and held it up for him to see.

“But you signed it yourself,” I said, my voice smooth as silk, but the words were like daggers. “Sean, it’s in black and white, Are you going to deny it?”
“Also,” I continued, “it clearly states here that after the divorce, all assets and properties will belong to me, and you‘ II walk away with nothing.”
At first, Sean couldn’t believe it. But as his eyes landed on the large, bold letters. spelling out “Divorce Agreement,” his expression immediately shifted, and a deep frown creased his forehead.
“No… no way. How is this possible?” he stammered, his eyes flicking from the
paper to my face, disbelief written all over him. “I don’t remember signing anything. like this. You must’ve forged it!”
He tried to push past me, dragging his suitcase inside, but then he froze. His eyes went wide as he took in the scene around. him. The entire house had been redecorated. Even the wedding photos that

used to hang on the walls were gone.
“Michelle!” Sean’s voice was full of fury. “How long are you planning to keep this up?”
I shrugged, the weight of the situation not even bothering me anymore. “I’ll say it again. I’m not causing any trouble. It’s written on paper. We‘ re divorced, Sean.”
I didn’t let him respond. Instead, I suddenly felt the wave of pregnancy sickness hit me. Without warning, I
doubled over and threw up in the trashcan nearby.
Sean’s anger faltered, replaced with something else uncertainty, confusion. He hesitated for a long moment, staring at me. Then, his tone shifted, becoming much colder and more calculating.
“Michelle, have you forgotten?” he asked, his voice dripping with fake concern. “You have a heart condition. The doctor said you absolutely cannot have a child. If you do,

it’ll be passed down to the baby.”
I froze, staring at him as he took a few tentative steps toward me. He softened his voice as if trying to convince me of something.
“I don’t care whose child this is,” Sean said quietly, his voice almost pleading. “Even if you really slept with Grayson, I don‘ t care. As long as you abort this child,. I can pretend nothing happened.”
His words hit me like a cold slap. He was acting like this was all some sort of bargaining chip.
“Michelle, I love you this much,” he added, his voice full of false sincerity. “Isn’t that enough?”
I didn’t even flinch. I pulled my hand away from him almost violently.
Sure enough, Sean was playing his usual game, trying to manipulate me with his act. He was so lost in his performance that he couldn’t even see the truth anymore.

The sheer narcissism it took to think his “love” was enough to erase everything that had happened made me sick.
“You might not know this,” I said slowly, my voice barely above a whisper, “but I never had a heart disease.”
Sean looked at me, eyes wide with disbelief. “Are you lying to me?”
His mouth hung open as if he had been slapped in the face.
