Chapter 4
I blinked at her, processing the demand. The nerve of this woman.
My mind flashed back to lunch earlier–Belinda had spent the entire time talking, laughing loudly, showing off, and completely ignoring the food in front of her. Of course she hadn’t eaten well; she was too busy stealing the spotlight.
I tilted my head slightly, amusement flickering across my face. “She’s hungry because she wouldn’t shut up long enough to eat?” I asked, my tone icy. “Tell her to order takeout if she’s that hungry! Who’s spoiling her with all this crap?”
The agent’s face tightened. Before I could react, her hand shot out, slapping the cup of water out of my hand, which I had just taken from the kettle.
Hot liquid splashed all over me, soaking my shirt, but I didn’t flinch. She wasn’t strong enough to hurt me, but the sheer audacity of it made my pulse race.
Did she really think she could intimidate me?
She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a menacing whisper, her heavy makeup smudging as she spoke. “What’s with the attitude? You should feel lucky to be asked to make food for someone like Belinda.”
My jaw clenched, and I forced myself to breathe evenly, refusing to let her see how angry I was.
“Do you even know who Belinda is?” She continued, a sneer forming on her lips. “When she marries Dwight, people will be begging to get close to her, to do things like this for her. If you’re smart, you’ll stop acting like a child and do as you’re told. Don’t think we won’t blacklist you if you keep acting like this!”
I couldn’t hold it back any longer. I laughed–a short, cold laugh that made her take a step back. “Who is she?” I repeated, my voice mocking.

Her eyes widened slightly, caught off guard. I could tell she wasn’t used to people pushing back, but I wasn’t about to stop now.
Her bringing up Dwight only added to my anger. He wouldn’t even be in his position in the industry right now if it weren’t for me. He was only standing
where he was because I convinced my brother to throw resources his way. If it weren’t for me, Dwight would still be fighting to climb up the ladder.
But I chose to keep that to myself.
Her mouth opened, but no words came out. The shock on her face was priceless.
I leaned forward, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “So no, I’m not impressed by your threats. And I sure as hell don’t care about Belinda’s status or her future marriage.”
Without another word, I grabbed the cup, still half–full with water, and tossed the remaining liquid in her face.
The splash was sharp, and the room fell into a stunned silence as water dripped.
from her hair and clothes.
Belinda rushed in, hearing the commotion. “Sylvia!” She exclaimed, eyes wide as she reached for a tissue to dab at her agent’s wet face. “What the hell is going on? Did we do something to offend you? If there’s an issue, let’s talk about it. We’re all educated people here–no need to resort to this.”
I leaned back in my chair, a cold smile playing on my lips. “You’re wondering if you offended me?” I asked, my voice calm despite the fire burning inside. “Let’s see… your agent tried treating me like a servant. You’ve been stomping around the set like you own it, talking down to everyone who crosses your path. And now, after I’ve spent hours cooking for the entire crew, you think I’m going to drop everything to make you a salad?”
Belinda looked flustered, unsure of what to say. “Look,” she said, her voice softening, “I don’t know what’s going on between you and my agent, but we’re all

professionals here. We don’t need to make things personal.”
“Personal?” I repeated, laughing again. “This isn’t personal for you, is it? You think you’re just so far above everyone else that it’s normal to treat people like dirt. But trust me, Belinda, it’s personal now.”
Her agent wiped the water from her face, fury burning in her eyes, but before she could speak, Dwight walked in. He sauntered over like he owned the room, closing
the door behind him and blocking out the curious glances from the crew outside.
“What’s going on here?” He asked casually, leaning against the doorframe, his
arms crossed.
“Nothing that concerns you, Dwight,” I said coldly, glaring at him.
He raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. “What are you talking about?”
For the first time, Dwight seemed genuinely taken aback. I had never spoken to him in such a harsh manner, but I wasn’t in the mood to try and please him.
There was a hint of shock on his face but it was gone just as quickly as it had
appeared.
Belinda, still flustered, spoke up again, her voice gentle, as if trying to soothe the situation. “Sylvia, let’s not make things so heated. We’re all here to work. There’s no need to make things difficult for everyone. Let’s talk this through.”
“Oh, by the way, I heard you’re about to marry Dwight and are then planning to blacklist me, is that true? I heard it from your agent here. So, tell me how do we
‘talk this through“?”
The tension in the room was palpable. No one moved, no one spoke. Belinda’s agent was still fuming, Dwight was silently calculating, and
