The Runaway Bride’s Reacoking Chapter 3

The Runaway Bride’s Reacoking Chapter 3

Chapter

When I drove back to Ethan Pierce’s villa, I was met with cold stores from both the housekeeper and butler

Glancing at the large TV in the living room, I saw reporters covering the wedding scene that had just unfolded, with Ethan

Pierce and Sophia Reed’s figures still visible in the background

Clearly, everyone thought I was the one who ruined this wedding

I lowered my eyes and headed upstairs to my room

Staring at myself in the fulllength mirror, I saw on exhausted face and a ruined wedding gown

After Sophia Read abandoned Ethan and went abroad, I became his next girlfriend

He took it upon himself to move me into his house

When I first arrived, Ethan paid little attention to me, simply giving me a few black cards for my entertainment

The butler and housekeeper naturally didn’t care much for me either

It wasn’t until I saw what Ethan was like when drunk one night that I started wanting to marry him

I wanted to become his devoted wife, openly and properly

Three years. I waited three years

Now that it was finally within reach, I no longer wanted to keep deceiving myself

This wedding gown I’d soon it before

It had been lying in Ethan’s collection for three years, the one Sophia Reed once said she loved

I let out a cold laugh, mocking myself

Then, dazed, I reached for the zipper at the back of the wedding gown, but it got stuck halfway down. Irogained focus, frowning as I applied more force

Still no progress

Just as I was about to give up, a pair of large hands suddenly gripped my waist

I jerked my head up, looking at the mirror in front of mo

There stood a man with striking features and a reserved, profound demeanor

UncleI called out reflexively, my knees going weak with shock

Alexander Pierce responded with a low Mm”

My eyes then fixed on his lorge hands still holding my waist, and realizing the improprioty, I started to inch forward. Don’t move. His doop voice was pleasant but carried a hint of command

Neither spoke afterward as he stood there, his sharp profile tinged with detachment and coldness, his clear black eyes perfectly still

Alexander Pierce reached up to grasp the zipper of the wedding gown, pulling it down to my waist, then suddenly bant down and placed a kiss at my waist

I was so shocked my legs nearly gave out, that neither light nor heavy kiss sending shivers through me. Unclewhat are you doing?”

When I quickly stepped forward and turned to look at him, he maintained his bent posture

Alexander Pierce was Ethan’s uncle, so I followed Ethan in calling him Uncle

He was naturally quiet; I could count on one hand the number of times I’d heard him spook

So his current behavior left me at a complete loss

Alexander Pierce’s lips curved into a smile, making him appear somewhat more approachable than before

Grace Mitchell, why did you run from the wedding?he asked

So, here was another person coming to Interrogate me on Ethan’s behalf

I answered righteously: This wedding wasn’t grand enough. I didn’t like it.”

After speaking. I walked to the door, opened it, and gestured for him to leave: If there’s nothing else, Mr. Pierce, please leave,”

Alexander Pierce raised his eyebrows slightly and walked directly toward me

Before leaving, ho sold in a husky voice: When you have time, I’ll give you an even grander wedding.”

Hearing this, I laughed coldly, thinking all the Pierce men must be mad
