Miranda capped her lipstick and handed him a tissue.
Paul was surprised. “Huh?”
“Wipe your mouth. You have some lipstick on your lips,”
Not only was it smudged, but the red color had also spread faintly over his lips.
“Really?” He looked at himself in the mirror.
Indeed, his lips looked a little red. He looked as though he had just eaten something spicy. Paul thought it was because of their passionate kiss, but it turned out there was actual lipstick coming off when he wiped his lips with a tissue
He was at a loss for words.
After tidying up, they left the house. Paul carried out a bag of trash and said, “I threw away that candle holder.” Miranda nodded. “I know, Dr. Jefferson. You get 100 points for being a good boyfriend.”
She didn’t mind that Paul had a past, but that didn’t mean she could tolerate him keeping a gift of another
aman’s confession. It was perfect that he threw it away.
“Why are you calling me Dr. Jefferson again?”
“What?”

“You called me Paul just now.
Miranda seemed surprised. “Do you like it when I call you that?”
“Yes”
She had said it herself, it was fine for him to make requests confidently and to express his thoughts clearly. Open communication was vital to avoid misunderstandings.
She said with a smile, “Then, Paul, where are we going next?”
Paul’s cheeks reddened suspiciously, though he didn’t admit it. “Where do you want to go?”
Miranda answered, “I’ll follow your lead.”
